I study the impacts of multiple stressors on ecological communities. Tropical coral reefs are a case study of species-rich and economically-important marine ecosystems threatened by multiple stressors.
With global change, many ecological communities are shifting towards weedy and stress-tolerant species. I use quantitative tools to identify life histories and predict trajectories of community change.
Climate adaptation planning
My research seeks to identify winning portfolios of conservation action in the face of climate change. I collaborate with WWF, WCS and NOAA to investigate climate adaptation decisions on coral reefs.
